We are alive!!!!

So it has been awhile since we have posted anything. We'll just say when I have 5 minutes for myself posting pictures hasn't been at the top of the list. Sorry to those who have been waiting for more pictures. I now have a new calling. Instead of RS Secretary I am now the RS Enrichment Counselor. So now I have more to do and especially more meetings. Yay. It will be fun though. My brain has now finally started functioning again so I think maybe I will be able to get things accomplished. So here are a few pictures from June and July.

Here is Brigham about 3 days old.

You can't see it very well but Savannah is posing with her shiner on her eyebrow.

Savannah tucked her carebear into Brigham's bed and then she fell asleep. So Cute.

4th of July outfits

Brigham chillin with his dad. He is about 10 days old here.

We were on our way to Mitch's parents house for the 4th and Savannah fell asleep with her foot up on her brother's car seat. You would think it was a long trip or something instead of 30 minutes.

Savannah got a new bed over the 4th weekend. She loves it and is sleeping much better.

Brigham in his blessing outfit.

Cute kid in a cute outfit.

Savannah and Brigham. She loves her little brother. He is about a month old here and already weighs over 13 lbs! So he isn't so little.

He's here!!!

On Tuesday morning at about 1 AM Kristie went into labor and later that morning we had a little boy. Kristie and Brigham were pleased as punch to be done with the whole labor thing by 7 AM and all they had to do for the rest of the day was relax and recuperate. Sleep would have been nice but that just doesn't happen for a new mother.
Brigham was 8 lbs and 13 oz as well as 20 inches long and had a good head of black hair. Mom was really happy about the hair and Dad was just happy.
It took Savannah a little while to warm up to the hospital and wasn't quite sure what to think of Mom in the bed with a tube in her arm. She took her brother pretty quickly and wanted to hold him all by herself for the rest of the next day.
She even sported her newest favorite shirt to let everyone know the good news. And don't mess with her bro because she'll come get you.
We are grateful everyone is doing well and the Lord has blessed our home with a new baby boy.

Memorial Weekend

We had a fun weekend hiking, playing, and decorating a cake. Yes I did go hiking at 38 weeks. I had hiked Donut Falls before so I knew it was a short easy hike. Too bad it didn't make me go into labor. Here are a few pictures.

Donut Falls are behind us. Savannah didn't want to pose for the picture.

Daddy and Savannah posing. Savannah wouldn't smile.

Donut Falls - there is a round hole if you look close where the water disappears into and then appears again further down the rocks.

This is the tinkerbell cake I made for Sabrina's birthday. It was inspired by Sophie's cake.

Cute Girl

So Savannah doesn't usually take naps at all any more. Just on rare occasion. We this is the sight I came home to on Sunday after doing visiting teaching interviews. Her dad had gone into the spare bedroom and laid down on the air mattress (we had set it up for a visitor a couple of weeks ago and they didn't end up staying with us and we haven't put it down) to read because it is cooler in that room than in the master bedroom and Savannah brought her dried pears into the room and crawled up on the bed and ate some dried pears and ended up falling asleep while eating pears beside her dad. Sometimes I wish she would still take a nap because she gets aweful cranky, but then we suffer because she won't go to bed until 11pm. So there are trade offs.

Almost Done

We are now actually 38 weeks but this was the last picture I took. So close enough. We have two weeks until our due date and we hope he doesn't wait that long to make his appearance. But family history is not on our side. He will probably be late, but I can keep hoping.

Victory!

On Friday Mitchell took his second actuarial exam (FM). Well half way through his exam he wasn't feeling so good about the test. Three hours after he began he still didn't feel good about the test, the test ended and up popped on the screen "Congratulations!" Yeah he passed! He was thoroughly surprised. The test was very hard. He has taken it before and he said this one was harder. But he was actually prepared this time and good thing he was. We are very proud of him and very excited for the possibilities this opens up for us.
